It’s Jon Molesky here (http://www.linkedin.com/in/jonmolesky). For many of you who have known me recruiting in the automotive quality field for well over twenty years, this is the story as I see it:
The hiring manager is a person who I placed at this exact company almost twenty years ago now is in charge of North American Quality! She is a fair, knowledgeable automotive quality professional who leads by example at this multinational Tier-1 automotive supplier. This company is well positioned due to technology and a lack of competition in key growth areas. Not a commodity supplier for sure!
This position is based at their corporate office. However, as we all know, the product and profits are made at the plants. As a Suppler Quality Engineer, you will have responsibilities that take you from problem solving to system audits to APQP related to suppliers…be prepared to travel on many day trips and some overnight as well. You need to have supplier quality experience and have it running in your blood to really do a terrific job.
The company has a track record of promoting Corporate Quality Engineers to the plant locations as well. As far as you becoming the head of all quality in North America, it did happen here. So, with some hard work, focus and success, who knows? If you are a seasoned automotive quality professional with a fully completed 4 year degree (mandatory), please apply. If this posting doesn’t turn you on (yet you are a fully degreed automotive quality professional),we have other services we provide to the automotive quality professional:
- – We have a continuous openings ranging from quality engineer through vice president of quality exclusively in automotive in the USA. http://www.aqsi.com/automotive-quality-jobs/
- – If you have a specific company you want to target or have seen an ad and do not want to be placed in the pile with all other applicants ending up on a HR person’s desk with no assurance of being interviewed, please let me know. We can work together. Here is how it is done: I will personally call the hiring manager directly and introduce your credentials and interest to the person that this position directly reports to with the express goal of getting an interview set up for you. If I am successful, you now have a professional representing you throughout the process, including salary negotiation … at no cost to you! If I am unsuccessful (no return calls, they don’t use recruiters or there’s some other reason), I will let you know, and you can take your previous route of sending in your résumé and hoping it catches their attention. My way is a perfect system of teamwork where everybody wins. There is no downside, since my turnaround is about two days on an activity like this.
- – If you are a true superstar in the automotive quality field and don’t fit our current openings, we can proactively target market your skills and personality (confidentially, of course) to automotive suppliers offering a shorter commute, a move to a different city or state or simply a company who is performing or growing significantly better than your own. Our services are free, and your résumé is kept completely confidential and on lockdown (don’t share it with anyone else), unless you are personally interested and give authorization. You have everything to gain.
