Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description:

A long-time client of ours is in need of an experienced Quality Manager with TS 16949 background and a great attitude.
It’s Jon Molesky here, and, for many of you who know me as a recruiter working specifically in the automotive quality industry, here is the story as I see it:
My client is one who is fantastically positioned within their niche making money hand over fist right now as automotive rebounds. This is a new plant start-up which means the new Quality Manager will have to build a TS 16949 system from the ground up.
Though, I have never worked with this plant before, the corporate team who supports this operation is a stable group of managers with a strong commitment to the advancement of quality systems at this facility. What I have learned is this area of the country is absolutely beautiful and great for families and outdoor activities. This is a winning combination for the right mix of someone with an energy-and-automotive-quality management background.
Technically speaking, we all know the drill: You MUST have automotive-supplier experience as a Quality Manager with a proven track record (expect us to ask for references of past bosses). I can list the buzzwords such as: PPAP, APQP, 8Ds, TS 16949. … The bottom line is you must be intimately skilled in automotive quality systems, customers and processes.

Requirements:

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
  • Strong TS16949 background
  • Metals experience a strong plus
  • CQE or CQM a strong plus

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of Quality Management experience utilizing TS16949
  • Knowledge of all aspects of automotive quality from APQP launch all the way through to customer contact
