A key client of ours is launching a one-of-a kind new product with growth potential well beyond most traditional automotive products. They are in need of a seasoned professional supplier quality engineer with the ability to work on numerous projects. As a supplier quality engineer, part of this role entails determining future relations with suppliers based upon their quality system and manufacturing capabilities. Additionally, this role includes handling APQP– from capability studies and control plans through the entire PPAP.  This opportunity is actually a supplier quality job moving into the realm of project management. The ability to make great decisions is vital to the overall success of the program. This company needs a supplier quality engineer with solid TS 16949 background and the ability to hit the ground running. Travel is mostly scheduled and can go up to 30-40% at times.

Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
• Strong TS16949 background
• Ability to travel 30-40%
• CQE or CQM a strong plus

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of supplier quality experience utilizing TS16949
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive quality from APQP launch all the way through to customer contact
