Job Description:

If you are a supplier quality engineer working for a Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive? We currently have a supplier quality engineer with a long-time client of ours working at a corporate level. Our client has made a major commitment to supplier quality going forward as this is a newly created position.

There is a little something for everyone since there is plenty to do in the areas of auditing, APQP launch and actual problem solving with your supply base.

As an added plus, one of the supplier managers is a quality professional we’ve known since the 1990s with a lifelong commitment to learning and the ASQ. Any and all certifications you might bring such as a CQA or CQE is definitely a plus as it demonstrates your interest and commitment to the quality field. We’ve been search consultants in automotive quality spanning 3 decades and only work with known players to ensure exceptional placements.

You must have a completed 4 year degree, with an engineering degree being a major plus. You must also have TS 16949 and plant hands-on manufacturing experience in the automotive or heavy duty industries to be considered! You should have working knowledge of: PPAP, FMEA, 8Ds, Control Plans, and Capability Studies. 50% travel.

Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
• Strong TS16949 background
• Ability to travel- 50%
• CQE or CQA a strong plus

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of Supplier Quality experience utilizing TS16949
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive quality from APQP launch all the way through to customer contact
